Meet Dr. Jessie Salter
When your pet's last day comes, you want someone gentle, someone who isn't rushed, someone who treats your pet like their own. That's the kind of veterinarian Dr. Jessie set out to be.

Background
Her story
Dr. Jessie has been a veterinarian for 10 years. She earned her degree at Washington State University before focusing on end-of-life care.
Over those years, she saw how stressful a clinic can be for a pet in their final moments: the car ride, the cold exam room, the unfamiliar smells. She started High Desert Home Euthanasia Services so families could have another option. A peaceful goodbye at home, where their pet feels safe.
Her approach
Philosophy of care
Dr. Jessie believes the last moments should be calm, unhurried, and full of love. She'll never rush you. She'll explain what's happening at every step, answer any question, and give you all the time you need, before, during, and after.
This is sacred work to her. She treats every pet with the same gentleness she'd want for her own.
In your home
What a visit is like
Dr. Jessie comes to your home and meets your pet where they're most comfortable: their favorite spot on the couch, a sunny patch of floor, your lap. There's no waiting room and no clock. You decide who's there and how you want to say goodbye.
She'll walk you through everything beforehand so there are no surprises. When the time comes, it's quiet and peaceful. Afterward, she'll give you space and, if you'd like, help arrange transport to a crematorium so you don't have to think about the details.
